thanks for your encouragement. I think of that too. Cat High is not a IP school. I thought of ACS(I) which within his reach. Any comment on the sch?et1967:
My son was on RI wait list. He score 253 and got rejected. He got a GE status. Now comtemplating whether to stick to GE/IP sch. Shd I try DH and NJC too? RI says can appeal if want to. Should I?
Of course you should appeal to RI. There's no harm right? At the same time, put DHS / NJC as your 1st and 2nd choice schools. Your son should do alright in the GE/IP schools. 253 is a very decent aggregate. -

Puzzled about the Bonus Point of Higher Chinese for SAP schools: will the 1-3 Bonus Point be added in the score directly or it only works when the candidates' score are same? For example, my aughter got 260+3, will her score be 263 when she apply NYHS? or still 260 but the 3 will be added only when other candidates are also 260? in other words, if there is one 260+3 and one 262, who has the chance?
The HMT can only be used for application to SAP schools, so in your eg, if there is one seat left at NYGH, the one with 260+3 would have priority over the one with 262. Hope that helps.
So for your girl's case, if she wants to apply to NYGH, her T-score is 263, but if she wants to try Cedar, for eg, her T-score is 260. -

Choose those schools that can really add value to your kid’s 0-level score. The details can be found in the secondary posting booklet. As for choices if your kid T-score is 242, the cop of first choice should not be higher than 244, second choice should be within your kid’s T-score. -

For SAP schools, they will grab 260+ 3 1st, then 263 + 0 , this is their rules. -
My girl scored 227. Any schools in the East to recommend? Help.... :?:

Cedar COP most likely to increase this year (2010: 246) due to the new joint IP with VJC. Chung Cheng Main would be a less risky choice in my opinion.
But most importantly, it depends on where you stay. No point going to a good school that is too far away. Time spent on travelling can be put to better use.25hourmaid:
thanks for the advices..Cedar is good but a bit risky considering that their COP was 246 last year and I can forsee a lot of girls would try to get into Cedar considering their soon-to-be IP status.
CCHM is quite safe for a score of 244.
maybe CCHMS is not a bad idea... -

My preference:My DD got 239 ...am thinking if we should risk putting CEDAR as her first choice? She was really upset and cried so bad this morning as she was so hopeful about making it to CEDAR...
Currently other options under consideration are :
Chung Cheng High Main
Xin Min
Nan Chiau
Presbyterian High
Any advice?????? :?
Nan Chiau (solid school leader and the school just got the SAP status) - shd be able to get into Nan Chiau but their COP may increase this year because of the SAP status.
Xin Min (proven track record)
Chung Cheng High (Main) (another good school)
PHS (not too sure but heard some negative feedback in KSP forum) -

I think it's the GEP scholarship not EESIS.I have a T score of 254 (+1)
Will I have a chance to get into DHS, considering I have a GE status and that the COPs would be lower this year?
PS: I have EESIS. -
Is it confirmed that 260 is COP for EESIS?
