25hourmaid:
any possibility that the COP be lowered since the highest score is 282 ?PGID:
my son got 219 ... do u think can get into St Hildas ?
Don't mean to be a damper, but 219 is quite far from St Hilda's non-affilated COP of 227. -

thnak u so much for the reply. I called up the school, they informed me that even girls with a score of 240 only have a slim chance of getting in. do u still think I should appeal? she was from contemp dance. SYF Silver.
Does she hold any important position in her CCA? 'Cos even though it's not a very high chance, she can still try. Also, TKGS is not bad too! So if Cedar really cannot, she may consider TKGS too since it's quite a good school too.
I believe it's possible to get into TKGS though your daughter's score is only a point higher than the cut-off point. But if she really wants to get into Cedar, maybe she can try appealing?VitaminsRock:
my daughter got a T score 0f 234. she was very disappointed as she expected to get into Cedar. cedar is definitely not an option now. what other schools do you suggest we consider?
some schools in my mind: TKGS, CHIJ TP, Tanjong Katong Sec, CHIJ Katong.
is it possible for her to get into tkgs? their COP is 233.
thanks in advance

Mad-Eye Moody:
If my DS's score is 254+2, can he enter NJC? I've heard that Njc isn't a SAP school and my HCL bonus points don't apply there. is that true? Or should I try my luck for that school
You can't use your HCL points for entry to NJC. So his aggregate is 254 vs last year's COP of 257. Risky? A little. -
INNOVATE:
ok, so u think I should not appeal? I am pretty cool with tkgs. autonomous and good record but the only setback is that it is a band 2 school.boredtodeath
Listen to 25hourmaid. Since yr dd has T-score of 234, her top choice must be Tg Katong Girls follow by Tg Katong. -

If you try for NJC, your HMT marks won't be taken into account, so means you are entering with 254 which is quite far from their COP of 257 last year. I won't try. A bit risky. -

She was one of the 3 Ex-Co members of the CCA. Haha, yeah..think I am leaning towards TKGS too. hope she gets in though. she has only a point higher than the COP.

any possibility that the COP be lowered compared to last year ? I hope it does.
Also I dont understand why the cut-off for affiliated schools is so far from those non-affiliated β¦ it isnβt fair. -

The possibility of the COP going up or down is there for every school, but from experience, I still think it will drop that far from 227 to 219, which is 8 points. Think so far, only CHIJ Toa Payoh dropped from 246 in 2009 to 238 in 2010. -

So NJC offers HCL for all but not a SAP sch, so cannot use HMT for bonus? So sad for dd!Mad-Eye Moody:
