Thank you all for the information given here. i have learnt much today.

My son managed a 263 and he was awarded EESIS + Third Language (3 categories)

in 2010, all the PSLE papers were generally easier than than 2009. Many teachers we spoke to confirmed this observation.

I like to ask why is the EESIS COP lower if the papers are generally easier in 2010 ? Wouldn't it be more logical to expect the EESIS COP to rise with easier test papers ? Is there any correlation between the difficulties of the paper and the EESIS COP ?

      thank you.

When papers are easy, it is easier for majority to do well and hence, lower aggregate score (as you compare how you fare with the whole cohort) Guess, lower COP for Sec schs and lower COP for EESIS

When the psle is easier, it's harder to sieve the diamonds from the rocks. The very outstandingly smart ones cannot show their true colour. So the highest t-score drops.

Any 259 out there got EESIS this year?

            Last year, EESIS was 261.

Heard from some source that this year EESIS is 258. This is from some schools teacher.

It must be a GEP or a mainstreamer with DSA offered. Saw this statement for mainstreamer who has been offered DSA, \" Your child/ward has been offered this scholarship as he has been offered DSA to IS\"

Any mainstreamer with DSA offered to IS and T-score < 260 offerec EESIS ?

below or above? If above, it is national 3% as someone has mentioned.

I mean above 260 without DSA...because they mentioned that one criteria is must with DSA and IS students who can get EESIS, thus I'm wondering whether those 3% without DSA students can get scholarship ot not....

Doesn't matter whether they have DSA or not.

And, securing a DSA doesn't mean you'll be offered EESIS. If you're not in top 3%, no EESIS.
