Hi my daughter scored 224 in PSLE exam and would like to get to CHIJ Toa Payoh.

CHIJ Toa Payoh’s COP is around 238, i would like to seek advise if what are the chances for her getting into the school if i make an appeal.

My daughter is interested in the Arts Elective Programme.

My son 253, can go IP, but if choose CHS, EESIS will not exist. If 3rd year proceed to a IP school, is he still eligible for EESIS? Anyone can help? Thanks

        Top 3 choices should be:
        CHS
        SJI
        VS
Confused as his COP for IP school very far (Sengkang), ACSI or RVH??
I thought EESIS is only for independent schools. If you go to CHS, you don't need the EESIS as their school fees is cheap, unlike independent schools.

[St Nic's is a all girls school. Nan hua is mixed. Both are SAP schools but St Nic's is also a mission school. I believe St Nics standard is slightly higher than Nan Hua. I don't know what is your DD's score but for me, I prefer a all girls' school for my DD to a mixed school.

St Nics is functioning at a temporary location in Toa Payoh and will move back to their upgraded campus. Since the school will become IP in a couple of years' time, I would think that it would get more \"funding\" from MOE. Just a guess.

Hi lizawa, thank you for your advice. My DD score 246+2. Is her chance of getting into St Nic high?

          Hi snowsam,

Last year's cut off was 247. Since this is a SAP school, your DD will meet the COP if there isn't any increase. Not very confident to predict which way the COP will go this year. My guess is, there is a good chance. You can always put this as your first choice and see how it goes. No harm, just need to exercise your 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice carefully. Good luck !

Yes...He will be eligible for ESIP.

I think you will need to take a test which cost $20 and if you do well you will be given ESIP.[/quote]Hi et1967,

Your son has 253, is he offered EESIS ? I thought EESIS cut off is 260 this year ?

Any one who meets the cut off of EESIS this year, but decided not to go to an independent school in Sec 1, but subsequently goes to IP school in Sec 3, will automatically be granted the ESIP, and does not need to take the test.

EESIS : for Sec 1 admission to independent schools.
ESIP : for Sec 3 admission to IP schools.

            This is my understanding.

Most of his friends seem to favour Anderson - but us kiasu parents woud think CHS is better. Please help…

Yes lizawa, I actually edit my post but you acted very fast. 😉

et1967, Not all IP schools are IS (Independent School) EESIS and ESIP are only needed for IS. If your child choose to go RVH at year 3 it is not needed. But does RVH take in students at yr 3 via DSA?

You mean Higher Malay ? or just a typo ? CAtholic High is a SAP school and so only offers Chinese as mother tongue.
