I think you will need to take a test which cost $20 and if you do well you will be given ESIP.
Hi et1967,
Yes...He will be eligible for ESIP.kiasuson:
My son 253, can go IP, but if choose CHS, EESIS will not exist. If 3rd year proceed to a IP school, is he still eligible for EESIS? Anyone can help? Thanks
Top 3 choices should be:
CHS
SJI
VS
Confused as his COP for IP school very far (Sengkang), ACSI or RVH??
Your son has 253, is he offered EESIS ? I thought EESIS cut off is 260 this year ?
Any one who meets the cut off of EESIS this year, but decided not to go to an independent school in Sec 1, but subsequently goes to IP school in Sec 3, will automatically be granted the ESIP, and does not need to take the test.
EESIS : for Sec 1 admission to independent schools.
ESIP : for Sec 3 admission to IP schools.
This is my understanding. -
Hi,
Anyone can provide some advice ? My boy got 251 at PSLE, offerred HML and 3rd language - Jap/French/German.
Most of his friends seem to favour Anderson - but us kiasu parents woud think CHS is better. Please help…
Thank you. -

Yes lizawa, I actually edit my post but you acted very fast.
et1967, Not all IP schools are IS (Independent School) EESIS and ESIP are only needed for IS. If your child choose to go RVH at year 3 it is not needed. But does RVH take in students at yr 3 via DSA? -

My daughter got 244, and we are staying at choa chu kang, just 5mins walk to Bukit Panjang High School. We got headache about choosing Nan Hua or BPHS as our 1st choice.
Anybody good advice pls… -
Hi,
I think the forum would have very diverse views… appreciate advice.
With score of 239 - aiming for VS (COP 245) as first choice; This has the risk of loosing the 2nd choice - Chong Chen Main (COP 236) and 3rd choice - Anglician (COp 240), worth it?
Thanks in advance. -

This is my understanding.
Yes, he's offered, and with 3rd language option. He scored 2 A* 2 A. Still feeling a waste if dont choose IP school. Actually was advised to put Dunman as 1st choice (think very slim), then CH as 2nd choice. Should I follow this advise?
