        Hi Brenda10,

        Could you pls visit P6 Nanyang Maths CA1 2010 Paper 2 Q11 [4 marks].
Answer for part (b) should be 150 degree and not 105 degree as given.
        Pls kindly check and confirm.

Thks for your valuable time and effort.
        😉
        Dear VC

Yes. DD worked out the answer also 150 degree for (b).

She said the two angels of triangle PVQ (left and right) are 15 degree each, as such 180 - 15 - 15 = 150 degree

        Thank you.

                  Dear Brenda10,
Pls revisit the working of this question again and thks.

                  8m - (1/2m x 6) = 5m -> OK
5m /2 = 2.5 m (length of each rectangle) should be 5m/6 since there are 6 lengths for 3 rectangles.
                  5/6x0.5 = 5/12 m²

Answer: 5/12 m² which is not the same with the answer key 1¼ m²

All but one _____ to take part in next week's Mathematics Quiz.
                    (1) was prepared
                    (2) had prepared

Understand that the reference is all which means that everyone except one person will be taking part in next week's Maths Quiz.Should it be \"All but one is prepared...........\" instead of \"All but one are prepared................\"?
Pls help to explain the grammatical rule in this case.

                      Dear VC

After discuss with dd, we have the following concern.

DD takes it as a figure. She shaded the other 2 triangles and derive as this answer (1.25m²).

However, if she stacks them the other way she will get another different answer (7/12 m²) .

So if we divide by 6 then we will get the same answer with your sister (5/12 m²) .

                      Thank you.

                        Dear VC

After discuss with dd, we agree that your sister answer is correct.

DD should not just put 3 rectangles next to each other. She now realizes if she stacks them the other way she will get another different answer (7/12 m²) . As such if we divide by 6 then we will get the same answer with your sister (5/12 m²) .

                        Thank you.
                        Dear Brenda10,

Thks for your confirmation and with this question answered correctly, it's perfect score for my younger sister in this 2010 P6 CA1 paper.
But, I warned her that with additional topics like circles and speed being tested in P6 SA1/Prelim, it will not be easy for her.

Thks for your quick response.Much appreciated.
                        😉
