Hi mrswongtuition,Sorry to dig up such a long ago post.
For PLMGS(S), they do take in ALL students from PLMGS(P) if they placed PLMGS(S) as their first choice school.
They have all 3 streams, so depending on results, they will definitely take them in and allocate them into the appropriate streams.
Currently, the affiliated COP is 190 for Express. However, new principal has taken over at PLMGS(S) and they are changing this policy. There will still be affliation but not as much as currently. This affects girls from this year P5 onwards.
I heard from ex-colleagues that COP in future will probably be around 20 bonus points. Which means that if non-PLMGS(S) girls get in at 240, the affliated COP will be 220.
So you mean that ALL plmgs girls can get in? I remember that my friend's daughter could not, is it a change in policy or something? -

Was she from PL Pri? The policy will only change with the batch that is taking PSLE next year.Hi mrswongtuition,

If she is from PL Pri and put PL Sec as first choice on her option form, she will definitely get it (just a matter of which stream she will end up in).
Maybe she did not get in because she did not put PL as first choice or she did not meet the COP? -

I am not sure about that, so even if she put plmgs as first choice but cannot meet COP, then she cannot get it, so it is not confirmed that they will have a place? Anyway, do you know if the child is from plmgs, got chance to go mgs, do they take them in with lower scores? -

thanks for list. appreciate ur help .. but would u know if chances high?
once again thank you very much.. -

Sorry, I would have no idea what your chances are. The only person who can answer that is probably the school's principal. The selection of students from the waiting list is not a transparent process...there's no standard guidelines of who to select. So it's entirely up to the school to pick who they want.thanks for list. appreciate ur help .. but would u know if chances high?

How was your daughter's result? Is she good in any sports or a member of school team? We don't know the selection criteria of your target school, but it would certainly help if your daughter were able to stand out from the rest. -
I've been thinking of transferring son to a all boys' school but wait list is very long
esp with the stress of PSLE results and having to aim for higher COP. -
