Pei Hwa Presbyterian Primary

markfch:
I have bought the Grammar Handbook for upper primary as well. A pity the range of books by Teachers' Production are on the expensive side...no discount at all compared to Popular.
Yes, I can confirm that the P1 next yr are using these 2 books as well. They were happily chucked in one corner of the bookshelf at home collecting dust already. A sign of things to come.E3:
My dd's Grammar handbook and Word Bank book are published by Teachers Production. Both were listed in P1 and P2 booklists. Not sure whether the current P1s are using a different Grammar handbook.
All the best to you markfch and other mummies who have kids going to P1 next year. -

Thanks Jennifer. Can you update the year to 2011 to reflect the year of the levels in which our kids will be in? TIA. -

Academically-wise, I think we've done sufficient groundwork and ds should be quite prepared for P1. But socially, I think I've made a mistake. I've always warned ds that PH teachers are super non-nonsense. Last mth he suddenly came to me with a worried face asking 'PH teachers are not like Miss Truchbull rite? They scold us only because they want us to be good correct?' The only ans I could muttered out immediately was 'Hmm, rite I think so.'
Then I recalled we recently read this storybook by Roald Dahl whereby there was this Ms Trunchbull whose really a teacher from h*ll. So no thanks to me, I think now ds is a little apprehensive about pri sch life. :stupid: -

Hello everybody, has anybody (other than 1 class I know) received the class posting yet? I have been eagerly waiting and waiting and waiting..... Saw DD's FT 2 weeks ago and she said it will be out last week and definitely before 14 Dec, but still no news.
Wonder what is happening... :?
