Thank you! I am a bit concerned as many are saying that COP will go up this year.

You mean many are saying COP of all schools will go up or that RV's COP will go up?

The cut off for 10% is at 249 this year, only 1 point higher than last year. My guess is that RV cutoff will be 1 point higher than last year, that is 252. If the brand new campus effect has taken effect, then maybe at most another point , 253. So I think you son 254 is rather safe.

Haha...I really want to advertise my superb accurate prediction for RV's COP this year. While most people predicted that COP, ingeneral for all schools will drop this year, I have made a bold prediction that RV's COP will be 253 this year. Gimme a Hug![/quote]a hug for your right and accurate prediction! πŸ™‚

Don’t feel sad. Just appeal to go to another school and you will not be worst in school.

worst in RI? that's only psle results. life is more than that. be clear about what you want and then decide if u want to appeal.

Likewise, my DD got 260 and she is in RGS. So what if she just made it. Don't know if you love football but look at Tottenham Hotspurs right now, they barely made into the Champions League and now they have already beaten last year's European Champions.

It is all about passion and determination. :rahrah:

                  Well said...

My DS got 262, in HCI via dsa and now still waiting for appeal result to RI. Thus ignore what others say. Give thanks, stay focused and go for it.

                    clueless1998,

260 is a very good score and you got into one of the top schools in Singapore. Don't worry about entering RGS at the COP. How well you did at PSLE is not indicative of how well you can perform in secondary school. I know personally of girls at RGS who entered at under the COP (thru DSA) and who are now doing VERY well. I also know of girls who scored 275+ at PSLE who are now not doing as expected at RGS. You'll be fine. Show your mum that you can do it. πŸ™‚

Congratulations on getting such a good score!

                      Don't be discouraged.

Your mum is probably happy in her heart, but because of the competitive spirit of people, she only sees the -10 instead of the +260.

There's very little difference between 260 and 270, trust me.

In secondary school, hard work counts, and a 260 shows that you have the innate intelligence and the capacity for hard work.

Work hard, play hard and do meaningful things in your life.

The next time your mum mouths about the -10 again, tell her \"Ma, it's just -10. Life and school is still a long way to go. A 260 means I am the top 10% already. Don't compare with the Jones all the time\", and she may go like

                      😎

                        Hi,

PSLE score is the score of only 1 exam. Last yr my son appealed and entered DHS. He might be among the lowest score in the school but thru he consistent work he was top 5 in his class beating the others who scored much higher than him in PSLE. So work hard and enjoy yr sch life and dun think negatively. Cheers
