River Valley High School [*IP]

It was actually 3 pages of boys to 6.5 pages of girls. Total 398 pupils.
-
Maybe parents with childrens in Rv can help me with this.
Is it true that the school (principal) has plan to increase the total student population to 4000 as compare to the present 2500?
If this is true, I think RV is going to develop into a full JC with 1000 students each in JC1 and JC2 just like HCI and RI. -

So the intake remain the same as last year. -

hi exrv1982Hi all,
Please help to provide informations on the school bus....
My daughter will be joining RV S1 next year, but we r staying in Pasir Ris!! Wonder if there's any school bus travel from Pasir Ris to RV in the morning? or I'll have to sacrifice my morning sleep to drive her to school everyday next year..... siong ah!!!
Will any senior RVs give me advice on how's the traffic along PIE and time required if by MRT to Jurong during the morning rush.
My family just returned from Beijing and RV is her first school in S'pore.
Thank you!!!

it may well be 6 years driving your dd to rv, not just next year.
you may want to consider putting her up in the hostel mon-fri. not sure if there r many rv students staying in/around pasir ris. if only a few, the transport company may not run a service for pasir ris-rv. you may want to call up the transport company and ask if there is demand for this route for 2010/2011. good luck

I am sure it is too far and too taxing for the child unless there is a direct bus service to and fro. Please do not torture her with the travelling. I like the idea of staying in the hostel. Alternatively, they can rent their present HDB flat out and rent another one for themselves in the west.

The orientation prog is already so packed, I believe when actual lessons start for Y1, the students will all :scared: :faint:
-
Can we not go for the orientation camp thing? I need to collect my scholarshipβ¦ And the parents tea party thing, thereβs only an option to opt out of the tea reception, not the dialogue session anf initiation ceremony itself.
-
If you opt out of the Tea Session, it includes Dialogue session, initiation ceremony and tea reception.
If the award ceremony is on Sunday afternoon, then u can still rush there.
I believe the camp is compulsory. Better check with form-tr on 1st day of sch. -

We indeed have no choice but RV is the only IP school in her selection and it was my ζ―ζ ‘... We have made an appeal to DHS but it's a difficult decision to make... May I ask what is the diffference between Class A to Class B, Class C... to Class L? Do they make any difference in their teaching mathods? Is class A suppose to be the \"elite team\" of the level? What make them so special?.... CCA or Academic?
If the student don't do well in the class that he or she is posted, will they reshuffle them in next grade or after the mid year exam?
