Appeal Secondary One Posting

No, he does not have HCL point. But he strong in Maths and Science, Both got A*

Have always suspected the schools placing greater emphasis on Maths & Science. Appealing with A* in these subjects is always an advantage.

Traditionally at this time of the year, top schools would hve completely settled all appeal cases with the exception of last minute withdrawals.


For those who are still wating for the outcome of appeals to top schools, is better to move on from here and prepare your kids for the next phase of his/her academic journey. Do not harbour hope in this instance as the chances are very slim indeed. Better to prepare your kids for yr1/sec1 mentally and emotionally. That’s the best thing you can give yr child in the midst of any disappointment.

just called hci , they said there r no transfers out already and they have called all those who r successful 2 days ago ....so now, i would have to try to overcome the disappointment/sadness and prepare ds for his posted school. think i will keep this infor to myself till tomorrow since it is his birthday today

Octopusmum , me too did not receive any call from HCI and need to move on. However , I am still happy to be in a IP school. Take Heart. There are more than 170 Sec Schs in Spore and only a few IP schools. Anyhow , all IP students are still Eltes. Let's Celebrate !!

Considering your boy is a yr-end kid, he is doing very very well academically. Any parent would be proud of such offspring.

I agree. It seems kids born in Jan have advantage over Dec kids. They are almost close to being different year and different phase of development and maturity.
