Why don't you all go there to recce the environment abit? Just go there during these few days of holidays and shop and see around.

I will be bringing Ds to school by taking train fr Toa Payoh. Can someone advise what is the shortest route from boon lay station to rvhs? Pls give the directions as I am quite lousy in finding my way. Tks

Octopusmum, I used to stay in Toa Payoh and work in Boon Lay for many years, also took MRT from Toa Payoh station to Boon Lay station, the train journey alone is 45 mins. hey, no big deal once get used to it. All in I think you need to cater fr 1 hr + including walking. Timing is fix since there is no traffic jam involved. From Boon Lay station you can actually walk to RV.

              The map

              http://www.streetdb.com/singapore-street-directory-GENERAL-SERVICES-p648886-JURONG-POINT-POST-OFFICE-%28JURONG-POINT%29.htm

I guess you can find road \"jurong west central 3\" just along jurong point and walk along the road out and you will reach rv.

                Thks for the infor.

                Hi zann

Did u take the train to raffles place, then take west bound train to boon lay or you take the train to woodlands ie north direction ? There is a direct bus 157 from my place but it is almost fr one interchange to another so I guess mrt is still better . Tks

Hi octopusmum, the mall is open, so can cut thru. We are also going by this way. u can check with smrt to see which direction is faster, as some stations are further apart from each other. What time are u setting off tmr?

Hi Peiyao, I also bought 2 PE T-shirt, I think they can wear home t-shirt to sleep but not sure abt day activities. I think can wear pri sch t-shirt as it was stated somewhere that Y1 can wear pri sch T-shirt for 2 wks if not rv t-shirt not available.

Hi octopusmum, from Boonlay station, walk thru the main entrance of Jurong pt, turn right, walk all the way until u see bossini shop, then turn left, walk all the way to the end,(fast food restaurant on your left) and out the exit of Jurong pt, cross the road, and u can see rv. There should be a lot of rv students walkin that way, so can just follow them.
u can also walk to bus interchange, take 198 or 274 , 2 bus-stop only.

Transport enthu here... 240 goes to one of the side gates. I don't know where you live but 502 stops there too. (Not same gate)

                      >Direct to jur and transfer to ewl to bnl is faster. 17 stations - 45 minutes. If you want to transfer to nel at dhoby ghaut and transfer again at otp (outram park) you take 2 stations more but the nel is very fast. Unfortunately you waste 5 mins transferring each time. If you transfer at cth (city hall) or raffles place it's worse. So i recommend taking nsl to jurong east then transfer to ewl. Save transfer times, less stations, and you dont pass through downtown. Furthermore, at jurong east, if the ewl train operator sees a nsl train coming, he will usually wait for the passengers from the nsl train to board before moving off

The time tables are out, can download at IVLE.

                        Just saw dd's timetable.

Mon, Wed & Thurs lesson end at 2pm.
Tues & Fri are CCA days, lesson end at 2.30pm.
There's a half an hour recess and half an hour lunch break everyday.

                        Mon - Oracy course 2pm-5pm
Tues & Fri CCA, 1 more IDP day.
So there are 4 days dd coming home late.
