Hi all, I need advice here. I've got 2 sch to PV in mind but can only choose one of the sch cos I'm FTWM and got 3 kids to look after.

Choice 1: Rulang Pr-diff to get into their PV as still need to write essay on what I can contribute. Not sure what they need. But once get into their PV and get into the sch.

Choice 2: West Grove Pr-got lots of PV this yr and the principal is accepting all of us so we may need to ballot even if we've clocked 40hrs.

Do you think I shd just do PV at WGPS and forget abt Rulang cos I stay within 1km within WGPS so got higher chance to get in?

I would suggest you try both as to secure better chance. In terms of the 2 schools, Rulang Pri seem to be the better ones.

PV fall under phase 2B, even you perform PV at multiple school you can only register at 1 school during phase 2B. If you want do it to find out more about the school, then it is fine.

Rulang has a very long history, more reputable.
West Grove is relatively new, but located in new estate with lot of children. Best in its area. WGPS has one of the highest applicant each year. 😄

Has any parent been accepted as PV for SNGPS for 2004 child? I heard SNGPS only accepts parents who stay < 1km as PV?

Dear all, I have received a letter from NanHua stating that I am unsuccessful in becoming a PV. I am determined to try again. Does anyone know exactly what the school need most from their parent volunteers? Thanks!!!

Are you staying within 1Km of Nan Hua PS? I would suggest that you consider other school instead of Nan Hua as the school should have good reason rejected yr PV application.

As far as I know, it's very very very difficult to get accepted as a PV in NanHua.

Hi, I thought perhaps my experience might be useful to those parents who are interested in PV at Nanhua. I have applied to be a PV at Nanhua about two years ago. I did get a favorable response from the school. But in the end I chose to give it up for various reasons. What I offered in my application letter are pretty specialized services, such as sharing the latest research and best practices in education psychology in the classrooms in the form of lectures, seminars, workshops for teachers and/or parents. Also, I offered workshops/courses on statistical analyses and programme evaluations, and services in the area of leadership development, teamwork/team building, performance management, etc. So perhaps some unique services may be what they are looking for? I remembered the principal said before there was one parent who was an architect, was accepted as PV at Nanhua at the time when the school was undergoing some \"reconstruction\", so his skills was put to good use.

                      Hope this helps!

                        Hi,

I am currently doing PV in Nan Hua for my child admission in 2011.

I am willing to share more about my experiences, but would prefer to do so in private, since my PV is still on-going. May PM me to discuss 😄

                        Cheers.
