So it means that those with 3 points will not stand a chance?

      Thanks

For those with raw 7-2-2=3, can place RI/HCI as top choice and prepare to appeal. Nothing to lose as VJC and NJC are within reach even if place as second choices.

          Extracted from CNA

forging ahead is top Malay student Nadiah Nadhirah, who scored a distinction in Chinese, despite taking up the subject only in Secondary One.

She said: \"What we had to do was memorise all these Chinese characters and there were times when I felt like I wanted to quit Chinese. But motivation from my parents, my friends and my teachers enabled me to go all the way up to the O-Levels.\"

this is a role-model for all that say Chinese is too tough, especially for the Chinese race.

This is certainly impressive. Did the article say why she took up Chinese? And is it Chinese as mother tongue or as 3rd language?

Not Miracles - he woke up before exams and put in effort 开窍 finally! Congratulations!

To study in full spirit after his Prelim 26 points all the way up to first day of O levels was about 6 yo 7 weeks. It's really a miracle to me! Hope he really 开窍 finally. Still have to observe some more...

I am more confident with him in his poly years and I think he will really shine there studying something of his interest plus all those interesting CCAs (rock climbing and dragon boating). He just secured for himself three good years of fun!

Your ds certainly excelled. You must be so happy. 🙂
How did the students do for O levels?

I think the top student is again from St. Nicholas Girls' School.

Top student from CHIJ st Nicholas with 10A1s. The only student with that score this year! And.....another Malaysian!!!!!!! Aiyah .... past 3 years all the top students from st nics and all from m'sia. 😜

But CHS had more top students. Crescent girls has the most top students with 9 A1s.
Hey so how is your DD result? Got how many A1? 😄

                      Hi insider, Congrats !

                      Wat is L1B4? Tks

Supposed to be Language + 4 best subjects (I miss-typed as R1B4 in my original post). Errr...that was in my era...

Now they calling it ELR2B2, which stands for

                      Eng + 2 relevant subjects + 2 best subjects.

No lah - it's just L1R5 (bc L1 can be another language eg. Higher CL).
