Hahaha! I tell her the same thing too... and I also told her, \"If your teacher asks you, tell her my MUMMY said so\" πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

Last year, son's Math teacher told him to inform me something. He told her that 'mummy doesn't teach Math'.

        :rotflmao:
It's a fact. During the Parent-Teacher meeting last year, the teacher looked at my hubby when she explained to him that models should be used instead of algebra.

            It's perfectly ok...what a relief. HaHaHa.
There is 'shared responsibility' at home where subjects are concerned. Next thing, my P1 gal will also be telling her teacher mummy needs to ask gor gor how to do some Math questions.

...but we will miss her very soon come next year when her DD gets out of PH (her DD is confirmed a GEPper!) πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰
Not true. Nothing is confirmed yet. Why do you want to chase me out? 😒 Just kidding...πŸ˜‰ She'll most likely still go for the 1st screening test and God-willing, go for the second. Decision comes after that. If I am the P, I will not train my students too intensively from P1 - P3, specifically for GEP. Instead, train them AFTER P3, like offering the Thinkers Today, Leaders Tomorrow programme, so that on one hand, you develop many excellent students for PSLE, on the other hand, you keep the brains. One year makes a big difference in terms of maturity. My thinking is a little warped, I know, that's why I will probably make a lousy P. Just my humble opinions. πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

Ya the TTLT is a very good programme. Not too sure if they offer it only to the top class....

They offer to those who were not successful after the second GEP Screening tests but had still done well, and probably to those who were selected but decided to stay put. So, you need to at least get your dd to pass her first screening test. Oh... and if some of the transferred out, and you dd gets into the best class next year, likelihood is she'll be offered. Actually, your dd may be one of those selected for GEP so whatever I said above is just for your info only. πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

I understand that only a handful of P3 passes the GEP-2nd screening every year. Anyone know roughly what's the % of students who passes 1st-GEP test and the 2nd-GEP test?
Thanks Janet, so nice of you to consider my welfare. Yup, I am now busy compiling theory notes for each individual question for my dd's theory exam. ..
Hi E3,

May I know how do you 'compile theory notes ...' for the theory exam? You mean there are some '10-years series' for the theory exam questions?

Haha, KS not just for academics, but for performing arts too

Kids nowadays are so lucky, everything is sort of prepared and served on the silver platter for them .. or are we parents the guilty ones? That's why MM Lee said kids with gd academic results ( = studying in gd schs) have advantages becoz the parents are equally, if not better qualified!
