What brand is Giant selling? I bought my 8 litres Tiger Thermal pot fr Hong Kong, and only cost me $270 ....gd bargain but very heavy in the luggage, no joke .

That is really worthwhile!!! But 8 litres!!! That's really alot, how many are you cooking for?

Hehe....actually there r only 3 adults and 2 toddlers. But i only cook 3/4 of the pot, and I freeze a few containers of soup for later use ( cook my sons' porridge).

I went to Giant to take a look at the thermal pot, but I am disappointed to find that they dun hav 100% stainless steel inner pot i.e the smaller one is made of plastic, which cannot be used on the stove. That explains why the price is so cheap šŸ˜› I didn't buy, still prefer Endo which has a smaller stainless steel inner pot which I can use to cook as well.

You have go to the Bread Thread to know why! If you can be bothered to read through 300+ pages, that is šŸ˜‰

Hmm???? :? Inner pot cannot be put on stove??? Then it is not a thermal pot.

                  Happy Mama,
Did you get the right thing?

Huh? Uh-oh, did you see the right thing? The inner pot is definitely stainless steel. Otherwise how do we put it over the stove to cook? I have used mine ad it works perfectly. šŸ˜‰

To clarify and just in case you all are wondering, I have attached a picture of the pot.

                      Thermo Pot
                      http://www.postimage.org/

The inside pot and the insides of the outer pot with the heating element. Nothing plastic, except the outer covering.
                      http://postimage.org/image/khfk0pus/

The original price is selling at S$49.99 but because of the offer, it is now going at S$19.99... I paid only S$19.99 for this 2.5-litres pot, so I'm not even going to compare it with a S$199 or S$499 pot (though I'm fully aware of the difference in quality between an expensive and a cheap pot).

I bought this pot to try out the effects of a thermal pot since I've never used one before, and if I like it, I will get a better one when this pot is spoilt... Anyway, I think someone in this thread shared that she's using a Tiger and after ONE knock, the pot is spoilt and the pot feels hot on the outside... šŸ˜‰

So in the meantime, I will enjoy the benefits of what a Thermal Pot brings me... šŸ˜‰ šŸ˜‰

Wow, so now you are a cute cute pot to make cute cute soup for your family! šŸ˜‰
