Dear Maths Guru,
I badly need help to solve this homework problem for my son.
A basket with 65 sweets has a mass of 3200g. The same basket with 40 sweets has a mass of 2125g. Each sweet has the same mass. What is the mass of the basket.
Your help is greatly appreciated.

3200g - 2125g = 1075g (To find out the mass of 25 sweets)
1075g / 25 = 43g (Mass of one sweet)
2125g - (40 x 43g) = 405g
Hence, the mass of the basket is 405g. -

basket + 65 sweets = 3200
basket _ 40 sweets = 2125
So if you take 3200- 2125 = 1075, the result will be for the 25 sweets
then, 1 sweet will be 1075 divide by 25 = 43g
take 43 x 40 sweets =1720g
2125 - 1720 = 405g (mass of basket) -

Assume at the end, Amelia = 10u.
Then Casey = 7u, Beatrice = 10u -18
10u + 7u + 10u - 18 = 738
27u = 756---> u = 28
So Amelia at the end = 10u = 280
Beatrice at the beginning = 280 - 3/8 x 448 -18 = 280 - 168 - 18 = 94

Amelia --> 16 units
After transfering 3/8 to Beatrice
Amelia --> 16u - 6u = 10u
Beatrice --> 10u - 18
Casey --> 7/10 * 10u = 7u
Working backward, Beatrice started off with;
10u - 18 - 6u --> 4u - 18
10u + 10u + 7u --> 738 + 18
1u --> 756 / 27 = 28
Beatrice at first --> 4*28 - 18 = $94
Is that the answer? -

Her original sale price of each doll was $7 less than each teddy bear. What was the amount collected from the sale if all the teddy bears? (express your answer to the nearest dollar)

Kindly help me with my math problem.
Colin and Rosdin had the same amount of pocket money. Each day, Colin spent $12 and Rosdin spent $15. When Rosdin had $18 left Colin had 5 times as much money left as Rosdin. How much was each boyβs pocket money?
It will be of great help if you show me the solution by model method.
