      yes Janet, I totally agree.

Even as she cried I was "amused" at how the role has changed. DD was the one who was upset with her results and comparing herself to those who did well and I was the one telling her not to.

Have reassured her that it’s her attitude and effort that matter most to me. I’ll give her whatever support she needs provided she herself keeps a positive attitude.

Yes, our roles have indeed changed...although we sit in the same room, most of the time my attention is on younger child in P1 but what my son wants is my presence. I always tell my son, his effort is all I want...人比人,气死人. Just this morn, he told me a boy who always misbehaves in class is always getting 90+ for his 听写 and worksheets. Advised him not to compare but work on his carelessness and remember to be careful.

I think crying or comparing is better than they bo cha. That’s show that they have the desire to improve.

Sounds like your kiddos have 开窍 liao! So now just need to load with tons of encouragement and support to get them through.

My ds has had so many activities in school - camp, supplementary classes, CCas, etc etc. Struggle to finish homework everyday. He is usually completely knocked out by 8ish. Poor chap. Hope he gets used to the pace soon as I anticipate it will get more hectic not less. 😞

The best part, is son is shaking his head when I coach daughter in her work...her very behaviour was just like him back in P1 then. HaHaHa.

:rotflmao: This is a good sign. I remember my sister in law did mention that her son was absorbing better when he moved to P6. At such, his Maths had improved from 50++ to near to 80 when he reached P6. Finally he got an A in PSLE.

He shook his head and kept calling her back to the room, 'mei mei, come and sit down. Mummy is teaching you'. I don't know to laugh or to cry that my son is maturing.

He is behaving as a big brother by showing a good example to his sister. I'm happy for you as our burden can be lighten once the child is getting mature. :celebrate:

Yes, I'm happy my son is becoming more of a big brother. At least he can help if I'm busy with housework.

Ds also knocked-out by 8-ish. He needs 10hrs sleep to function well.
We just do whatever we can, no point to compromise on health.
Usually exam days we will just R&R so this week and next week are all we have for CA1 prep.
