      Hi

From the picture, one can see that the plant is leaning towards to right side of the box. This enables the leaves to get sunlight for the process of photosynthesis (making food).

Option (2) may look correct at first glance, but changes is a general term. What does changes mean?

Therefore, option (4) is the choice.

      Best wishes
      Hi Tianzhu,
      Thanks for replying.
I am really confused about this question because the first 'experiment' in My Pals' Activity book (i.e. school's 'workbook' Activity 2.2 - Do plants move by themselves?) is this similar experiment (only 1 potted plant though) and under Conclusion, there is three line:-
      1. Plants cannot move from place to place on their own.
      2. Plants respond to changes around them by moving some of heir plant parts.
      3. Some plant parts grow towards the direction of sunlight.

Hence we directly relate such experiment to one that tries to prove that 'plants respond to changes'.

I would think that the better answer is 2 and not 4.

The conclusion that \"Plant needs sunlight to make food\" (option 4) does not come from the result of the experiment. You would probably need a starch test done on 2 different plants (one under sunlight and one kept in the dark) to prove that plants need sunlight to make food.

The plant is responding to the light coming from the opening of the box and hence the conclusion that \"Plant can respond to changes\" is better.

                  Hi,
You have to check if her school has covered the relevant topics that is similar to the past year CA papers from other schools. My child's school is only testing up to Plants; so he is using 'guesswork/common sense' for those questions pertaining to Animals and Micro-organisms.

Teachers always use green beans, soaked with water in a cotton bud in an experiment. May I ask how do green bean come from?Is it from bushes, trees,or others?

You very cute. Green beans are found inside pods (black in colour). The green bean plant is a creeper (weak stem that needs to climb onto support such as fence). So you need to break open the pods to see the green beans inside it (something like groundnut)

The question goes like this. The heading is "Animals that reproduce by laying eggs" Then it has group X and Group Y. Animals in group X consist of Frog, Housefly and butterfly. As for Group Y, they have chicken, cockroach and crocodile. So they ask which of the following group of animals are correctly classify in group X and Y

                        A) Mosquito and Pigeon
                        B) Grasshopper and Snake

Answer is A but why ? Pls kindly advise urgently. Thanks a ton.
