i believe in three areas to increase height:

            1. genes
            2. food
            3. exercise

nowadays children are taller than the yesteryears’ kids. cos of the food they eat, better food. and exercises helps to develop bones… cos outdoor activities with exposure to sun helps the kids muscle/bones to grow…

A friend mentioned to me that once Girls have their menses, they don't grow in height anymore. Is it true? What about boys huh? When do they stop growing?

I think any teenager grow the fastest during their sec sch years. That is 14-16 year old.

Exercise really helps-especially basketball, netball. My brother grew from 1.6 m to 1.82 in 2 years (14-16) when he was on his school basketball team.

I heard about this too... and true enough, those kids that I know who slept late, are generally quite petitie. 😉

Try 田七 powder. It is supposed to 活血. A lot of my friends giving their boys that and my DS also started taking this recently.

It can be in pill form (from Eu Yan Sang) - there are 2 types: one pure 田七only (about $10 for a bottle of 30 pills), the other 田七 plus american ginseng (about $60+ for a bottle of 30 pills). 田七 is supposed to be heaty and the american ginseng will help cool the body so it will not be too heaty.

You can also buy 田七 from medical hall and boil with chicken for the soup. For growing, it is better for daily consumption so pill may be more convenient.

For girls, take note that near / during / slightly after menses should stop consumption of this herb as it is 活血 so not suitable for consumption during that period of the month.

I have heard about Tian Qi too.. Maybe I should buy 1 bottle for DD to try, but not sure if she is able to swallow the capsule.. Is it the smaller or larger capsule?
