... most of us are on scholarship such that we only pay 13bucks per school fee.

      hi fatal-illuxions,

Since 2009, the edusave scholarship covers only part of the school fees. ie. $2400 per annum or $200 per month. The school fees at RGS is $300 plus misc fee of another less than $50(forgot the exact amount). Therefore, scholarship holders need to fork out another $100 plus per month, in addition to some other expenses like orientation, CCA, etc. How I wish it's still at 13bucks per month.... šŸ˜‰

this is the part i go OH MY GOSH ARE YOU SERIOUS?!

it only affects the sec1 batch of 2009 onwards is it? i remembered when i was sec1, i only had to pay 13bucks, that's excluding the 260+ bucks for the worksheets and enrichments and random stuff right at the start of the year. i didnt have to pay for orientation though, and CCA is another thing altogether, so definitely will have to pay.

my mum just asked me for my CURRENT school fees, but i myself have no idea about it. Do you?

              Hi fatal-illuxions,

You means last time RGS school timing more longer?

I go thru my DD student handbook, found out some useful info abt school. ( I should have read earlier) šŸ˜„

Thanks again for your reply šŸ˜„

I guess you JC 1 life must be busy, busy & interesting!

Q again :? Is it true that RGS will not have Mid year exam when it is SYF year (like this year)?

life isnt that busy yet. šŸ™‚ it's on the process of getting crazy i think haha.

I dunno about the relation between SYF and mid years. The school has always been changing their system here and there, timetable, exam, and whatnot.

ps. I AM SUPER JEALOUS OF THE TIMETABLING THIS YEAR. you lucky people who get early dismissal haha!! XD

Just wander if the girl under GEP(since P4) and is a singaporean,do they pay school fees? OR just pay a minimal amount? (out of curiosity)

From 2008 (not 2009) Sec 1 batch onwards, the scholarship quantum is $2400 per year (or $200 per month). For batches prior to that, most independent school scholarship holders are given full scholarship and students only pay nominal school fees e.g. $13 per month. There is also supplementary fees which everyone has to pay, which can amount to $500+ or $600+ per year.

For PRs or foreigners who are not entitled to EESIS (for Sec 1 - JC2) and ESIP (for Sec 3 - JC2), they can apply for music or art elective scholarships - the amount is similarly $2400 per year, from 2008 onwards. So if a PR is supposed to pay $360 per month, he or she now pays $160 per month. RGS has Music Elective, whereas NYGH has Art Elective.

YUPP. i love my sec one timetable the best. 3 early days at 1.40pm, and 2 late days at 2.10pm. and we have one block of recess.

Sec2 - sec4 was 2 early days at 1.10pm with one recess block. and 3 late days at 2.50pm with one recess and one lunch block in between.

though i really would prefer to end school early. but OH WELL. tough luck šŸ™‚

                      Hi Hans,
We're waiting for results. Just paid the full school fees for the quarter.

Am afraid I don't know how to reply to your second question as we have not gone through the SG system. Sorry.
