Was using siwukuaidu Chinese book to teach ds1 some Chinese words, as he is very poor in Chinese. 😞

We were at lesson 4 or 5, there is a word called 牛, so I associate this word with 奶. So I asked him, what do you drink sometimes? So he answered 牛奶. Very good right?

Ok, we went on to another page, the word is 大牛.

      He mixed up 牛and 奶.

Smurf: what is this? (pointing to 大牛)
      Ds1: erm, erm, 大......奶!

      😢

Quite pai seh to mention this.

Ds came back with the children society's 'ang pow', supposedly for donation. Very enthusiastic.

Smurf: so are u going to donate $$ and how much?
            Ds (very enthusiastic): $10!
Smurf: very good. Then we'll take $10 from your coin bank and put it in the angpow.
Ds: er, er...I think give 10cents lah.
Smurf: what! U just said $10??
Ds: erm, 10 cents and 50 cents lah.
            Smurf: :faint:

There was a Malay wedding going on at the void deck, innocent DS1 wanted to know what’s going on…..

                        DS1 : Mummy… y so noisy??!!
                        ME : Oh, there’s a Malay wedding.
                        DS1: What’s that??
ME : Wedding is when 2 people who likes each other a lot a lot and decided to get married and live together…like mummy and daddy.
Ah Mah : But before marriage, have to go par-tor 1st, like uncle and XX jie jie.
                        DS1 : Oh! Okay…(walk away with a satisfactory look)

Moments later, DS1 came running to me

DS1 : Mummy, can u go par-tor with me when I grow up??
                        ME : Y??!! :?
                        DS1 : Cos I like you a lot a lot and I want to marry u.

                        My heart melted…..
