Top scorer for PSLE at MS was 267. Apparently they did well for the O levels coz the whole school had a celebratory holiday.

So far, the school is good. Nice teachers, nice classmates. Stress is manageable for the P1s.

Found this on the web. What does MSHS parents think, ie whether its a fair assessment of where MSHS stands? The ranking basically puts MSHS in tier 1 alongside Ai Tong, Raffles, etc.

Any P3 parents in this forum? Just wondering how did your kids fare in the recent CA. Not sure if the work has become much more difficult or if my kids is starting to lag behind 😞

The latest P1 听写my son got 90/100. 10 marks deducted because the HYPY "San" was written in capital S! I am quite mad, considering all the 听写 will be generated towards their CA1 marks. Should I complain?

Only the best 3 results will be taken. So having one 90/100 would not make a diff if he already has three full marks.

Also, if I am not wrong. There will be no more HYPY for ting xie after term 1. Only chinese character for ting xie.

Yes things are a lot more difficult from P3. The best is to ask him how he did amongst his classmates. Most teacher do tell the class how many got band 1 etc.

I am getting worried. He used to be getting 90s for P1 and P2 and now he is down with 70s or 80s. :?: Anyone know of any good English enrichment or creative writing class.

Eh, I thought it was best 5 out of 7 tingxie in term 1?

Anyway, cannot complain coz my son also got marks deducted for such \"minute\" errors. But apparently, they will still mark such mistakes wrong as they want to inculcate the practice of writing exactly what the teacher gave. They don't encourage \"creativity\" as this age. And there is no capital letter for HYPY unless it is a pronoun contained in a sentence made of HYPY. Same for English spelling too.
