Since P4, his 'see me' love notes are one-to-one and teacher will ask him for explanation why work is not done properly...so I can hands-off his school work...a little relief for me.

I hands-off son's homework since he was in P3...if he does any-how, he will face the teacher. So he better put in some quality work.
As long as I make sure hubby doesn't do his hw with him and get all questions correct, making teacher think he knows everything.
When he doesn't put in effort for his hw, there will be a 'See Me' love note from his teacher.
Sounds so Familiar ....
I Got \"LOVE NOTES\" from T during My Boys' Primary Days in PH Too ....

For my daughter, her 'love notes' from teacher are still pretty much 'gentle'...but she will ask me to sign the worksheets for Maths because hubby will want to know why they were not done properly. Usually I will sign just the English and 听写 worksheets since I coach her. -

Ermmm...have not seen the paper so can't be sure whether it's really that tough. I guess it's more demanding compared to last year's papers cos it has included 造句, and the time given was only 1 h 15 mins for a 100 mark paper. I heard that some kids from the cohort couldn't complete the papers.

我很了解妳满肚的怨气。关于造句, 老师从小一开始就已经强调尽量不要写太短的句子, 因为不能真正把词语的原意表达出来, 所以我吩咐女儿要发挥,句子当中一定要有至少一个逗号。 在考试前一天, 她练习造句, 并把二十个列句给背了起来, 而且所出的五题都全中了!

According to my son 造句 must make a longer sentence in between use one comma. Last year, we didn't follow this and only got half marks for each 造句. This year 吸取教训, die die must follow, he got full marks for his 造句. :lol:E3:

[/quote]还不至于满肚子的怨气, 因为我还能理解这里的语言学习方式。其实默写里也存在错误明显的句子。应对考试,E3做得相当出色,感觉指导方法狠,准, 稳兼具,实在是值得我们好好学习。

Actually, I am more anxious to know the class median if not, average, rather than the highest. Some of these kids at the top...I 望尘莫及. :lol:

So far, for P1 and P2, they were not so strict although teachers did emphasise on bringing out the meaning in the sentences. It was during the class practices that we realised that P3 teachers will penalise if the sentence only has a single fullstop. Apparently, it seems incomplete. For eg. During one of the practices, my dd wrote for 参观: 老师带同学们去参观玩具工厂。 It was penalised so instead of teacher's suggestion of adding \"大家都很开心\" after a comma, we changed it to add \"大家都学了很多知识。\" to learn for the exam if it ever comes out.

I also reminded DD several times before her CL paper not to write short abrupt sentences. I told her those are ok for P1 and P2, but Teacher will definitely penalise her if she writes those in P3. She giggled whenever I teased her about short and abrupt sentences.
