Agree cos my dd got this question wrong! She thinks too much. What an irony, thinks too much also wrong, doesn't think also wrong. She felt the little kids all ran to help out so should be 合作,instead of 关怀. You can't 搭配 合作 with 互相. It's usually 分工合作。Like you've mentioned, the scenario doesn't seem appropriate in showing 关怀.

Do they Have Choices of Words Given for this Q?
MayBe Out of the Whole List of Words Given, this Could Be the Best Choice? (But Not Necessarily the Most Appropriate?)

Yes, Cloze passage with helping words. Well...how do you define \"Best\" choice? To the child, his answer is the Best choice... 😉 😉

then his kindy teachers feedback that he has been tellin his classmates that Mommy no longer has time for him, and only loves him when he does his work.. 😢 that was quite sobering to hear..

Hope this doesn't rub off my ds hor. :nailbite:

I must subtlely coax ds to reveal what he thinks about me too.

Anyway, for this question, my dd also thought of the first answer at first, cos it's straightforward like you said, but she read too much into it and chose (2). Well...at least she was thinking and I know as long as she keeps thinking, she'll ultimately learn the right skill, and not go wrong. 😉

Hehehe! So in this case, luckily my DD is a simple girl and doesn't think too much, otherwise, she may have chosen (2) as the answer too.   She may not be so lucky the next round, so I'd better start training her to think deeper. 😉

Many people falling sick. My younger ones were taking turns having gastric flu, thankfully, my dd1 was strong enough to not be infected during the exams.

Do take care. :hugs:

Oh no, hope she's able to fight the \"flu and cough virus\" and be in the pink of health soon. It's not fun falling sick. Take care and maybe boil for her \"liang cha\".

How does one improve or excel in English Vocabulary Cloze Passage? Is it just through reading more books?

I keep telling DD it’s just "common sense" and I get so upset when she makes an error.

He tinks I'm not doing enough with dem. Coz both results thus he gave me the cold shoulders last nite

Poor mama. DDs didn't do well but mama gets the blame. Don't know whether if my ds doesn't do well, dw will give me the same treatment or not? :?

Yar loh, so I had been sobbg last nite, choked on my tears and had not slept since last nite 😢 :gloomy:
Ha ha, no la, I'm not affected by my hubby, he :spank: me, I'll 🦆 and den :nunchuk: back at him and alls fine...
No seriously, he was just a little disappointed la and really didn't feel like talking. So I had to be sensitive. I guess drafting a workable time table and talking to the kids about it den presentg to him may make him feel happier that we are doing some damage control la. I did draft timetables in the past, but cldnt keep to it due to kids hw and tantrums.
Periwinklejoy:
I tink it really depends on Ts style, some are v encouraging and positive, so they only give gd feedback and package negative traits of kids to be common traits of kids, so just need to 'encourage' and work on them, like, being less careless with work, paying more attention in class, reading more, conversing more in Mandarin etc.
I actually prefer that negative feedback not be grossed over. I find negative feedback that is straight to the pt and supported by examples to be of the most value. Even if I don't agree, I'll keep quiet or just pretend to act surprise.
U very good actor har, K, I will act surprise also :whut:
