DD (with much innocence): Mummy, I love daddy so much, I want to marry him when I grow up.
Me (abit shocked): But you canβt. He is already married to mummy. But you can choose someone like him.
DD (looked a little disappointed): But he is not daddy right?
Iβm speechless. -

One late afternoon, I was lying down beside my DS with my eyes closed.
So DS was quietly whispering the words \"shit\" and \"stupid\" to himself after waking up from his afternoon nap ....
ME: Babe, you know you are not allowed to use these words right ... so why are you using them??
DS: Mummi, why can't I use them?
ME: Because they are not good words to use in a conversation or in anger.
DS: But Mummi used them. I heard you scolding the driver when you were driving. Why Mummi can use them and XXX cannot?
ME: (wracking my brains for a way to do some form of damage control because of course its MY fault he picked up those words) Because Mummi is 18 years old and above
DS: Just like drinking coffee??? So in 15 years time I can drink Nespresso coffee and use the words ......
ME: (
really hard DS will forget that this conversation ever existed). -
autumnbronze,   You're in for some rough years when your kid turns 18.
