[Sembawang] Primary Schools
-
There is also a parent talk for us tomorrow. The principal talking to all parents? I thought it's only for P4 parents. :?
But I like this new principal. He is making alot of changes to the school and the PSLE results is getting better, discipline also. Used to see pupils around my block after school, but now not really. -
probably for P4 is the parentsβ talk, guess could be advising the parents about the banding. For us is 1-to-1 meeting with the form and subject teachers. We have choices of time slots and then given a time to go for the meeting. Ya this principal together with the VP had make improvement to the school.

I guess so. My girl came back today and said that it's only a talk, but her teacher will be around. Ya, this new P and VP joined the school in 2006 and since they joined, the school has been doing well in PSLE.
Last year I went for the graduation ceremony with my sister as her son was in P6. Wow, their PSLE results was good and from what i heard so far from parents, the school is doing better than the other schools in sembawang area. Hopefully this can continue and when my girl sits for her PSLE, she will do well too. -
ya, heard last yr their top student (273) was highest among all sembawang schools. He's the younger brother of the earlier yr who got 283. They only produce info for top student, but did not mention more for the whole lot. Hence not able to tell on a whole how the school is doing... :? Unlike other SAP schools whereby they have list of good grades. Anyway for a neighbourhood school, such result is consider very good already.

Ya hope their good result will continue and improve, even if new principal or VP were to join along the way. Heard MOE will 'rotate' the principals n VPs after few years one.
How come only talk for your girl? I heard fm a friend who has kids in P3 & P4, she says have meetup session with teachers this evening. You did not have? -

Hi all, my son is going to be P1 next year and we are choosing between Endeavour or Canberra. Distance-wise our house is very much nearer to Canberra. However we are very impressed with all the good feedback for Endeavour's Principal.
We understand that Endeavour only conduct HCL, is that true ? My son is really weak in CL and he can't even understand his K2 teacher and tution teacher.
Which school is better, if I want a school that is people-oriented and have normal CL ?
ps. Is Berries good ? Are the teachers all native speakers ? My son's current one is from PRC...

came upon this when browsing for primary school. Same qns that I wanna ask... My gal is going P1 next year and still deciding btwn these 2 schools ie, Endeavour & Canberra. Any feedback please?? thks! -
Hi,
Canberra is a future school...... so i think alot is based on using computer. But, nowadays, most schools are very much into computers.
Endeavour is a new school so being new, it's a school with smaller population with newer facilities. As for results, they don't have P6, so can't tell much yet. :? -

Why no one talk about Canberra since its the most popular school in Sembawang. :?

If you ask me which school, I would say why not Sembawang Pri.
My child is there now, I must say that they have done very well since the change in Principal some years ago. It is definitely one of the better schools there.
