      hello everyone

I have been using a Rainbow for the past 8 years - handed down from my parents.
The machine is now 20+ years, and has finally conked out.

It is not beyond repair, but because it is so old - i am preparing for that ONE DAY that they stop producing the parts, hence forcing me to upgrade.

I have since bought myself a second hand Rainbow, a current version.

Is anyone interested in buying a brand new Rainbow vacuum?
If you are, i can give u my old set and u can then use it to trade in for a new set.

My old set is worth $800 i think, so that will give u some savings.

SMS me at 9747 9289 if you're interested.
I can hold on to the machine for a while, but not forever lah 😉

My irobot just arrived. Need to get converter. Well, let's see how this thing works.

Hi Janet, i am interested to get one too...May i know where did you get it from? Singapore or US?

I just chat with the sale guy from US irobot, they only accept order within US and Canada..

              Local price too expensive..

Just to go Homefix, tell them you need to convert our electricity voltage to a lower voltage for electronic items purchased in USA.

                Costs approx $10.

                Hi cody, janet_lee88,
I got my iRobot from the US too. DH brought it back as he was there for a work trip. What brand of converter did you buy and what is the output wattage of your converter? I bought a 60watt converter at the advice of the home fix guy as the power supply requires a 33watt input. I charged it for the first time today. 15 mins after i started to charge it, I noticed that the home base lights and the irobot lights had gone off. The converter was also quite hot. I think the converter overheated and cut off the electricity supply. The irobot and charger can still work though. Wondering if I got the wrong converter? I'm thinking of getting a higher wattage, but don't know how high to go.

Got a 150W transformer. No problems now. Used it for the first time is afternoon. Floor feels nice and clean!

I used a Dyson vacuum cleaner when I was in UK and the vacuum cleaner was good. It’s a reputable brand and one of my ex-colleagues (who happened to be a British) also swore by the quality of Dyson’s vacuum cleaner.

I am toying between manual effort and robot effort too....but want to find the most efficient. Thanks for your feedback.
