Men carrying their gf/wife handbag makes them look sissy. I just can’t understand why the gf wants to have a handbag and yet asked her bf to hold it ? What’s the rationale ? Might as well not carry.

it breaks my heart seeing him having to carry the bag all the way home on his thin frame (in his report book, it it written that he is 'severely underweight')...

Anyway, I showed him this infamous article and after reading, the next thing he said was 'Mummy, DON'T carry my school bag for me in the future, ok??'
Your case is different- child being severely underweight. No one in the right mind will shame your boy when you carry his sch bag.

This afternoon, I was waiting at the sch gate to pick up my boy. A maid took a cloth bag out of the sch bag, took all textbooks & files out of the sch bag and put them into the cloth bag. She then carried the cloth bag while the boy carried his sch bag.

So, next time we see pupils carrying their own bag, do reserve our compliments bcos its load might be severely lighten

How about fingers flick, flick, flick, the thing on the floor...or if cannot get it out that way, wipe on his jeans? :?

I carry my son's bag when I walk him to school every morn...he's in primary school only...shouldn't be a problem. Besides, his bag is REALLY heavy. But when he goes to NS, he will carry it himself.

My take is that it has to do with the guy being a BOYFRIEND vs a HUSBAND.
During pak-tor time, the girl wants to look nice so only carry a small and petite hand-bag (any young ladies go pak-tor carrying grocery bags?).

Then the boyfriend, trying to show that he is the concern man, offer to carry her bag since this is the only thing on her \"weighing\" her down.

Assuming after that they got married, make sure this same guy offers to carry all the grocery bags, shopping bags, luggage, baby and the baby bags OK? This advise is for those young ladies who allow their pak-tor to carry their petite handbags! πŸ˜‰

Hahaha, I nearly fell off my chair .... which is quite a dangerous thing to do considering my weight. Maybe NEA should have a new slogan for environmental cleanliness, 'Keep clean. Be a man. Eat it!'

that's for sure. πŸ˜‰ That would be too heart pain
for markfch.. buying it was already heart burning.
Oh man, I almost forgot about that. To think the most ex thing I've bought for myself was a pair of $200 Dr Martin shoes which I wore for a good 3 years. 😐

Actually I'm not sooo disgusting lah. The most I did in public was to rub my stomach - after a heavy meal - and pick my teeth only.

This advise is for those young ladies who allow their pak-tor to carry their petite handbags! After getting married, I carried my own bag while hubby carries the grocery bags but I will help to carry some. When the kids were just babies, I carried the bb while hubby carried the baby bag.
