You might want to probe him regarding school work first (too difficult? too much?)... then maybe relationship with T or classmates?..... good luck...

My ds told me that mrsbongz's ds is good in english and very good in art.

He usually have a high threshold for pain, never cried for injections etc before.. so when he claims to b in pain, I try to give him benefit of doubt. But it is getting often, and the staff in school asked me to be more firm with him.. when I probe him further, he will cry hysterically 'I'm not lying mommy, really I'm not lying\" very hard to make a stand loh..

I don want him to keep things from me esp after he hide from me abt being pinched in kindy.. but its so difficult to keep a balanced approach.. :roll: Mommy's using up most of her leave liao

Have you analysed the days that he called you? Are they consistently always on the same day(s) of the week? What's the lesson(s) after recess for those day(s)? Maybe he feared a particular teacher or dread the lesson(s)?

my ds had a very bad relationship with his P2 FT. got punishment without any reason. :x .Almost want to complain to P. Must console him everyday, asking him forget about all those unfair punishment. To have a good T is really blessed.
Try to talk to you ds to exclude these reasons.

PH's Level 1 & 2 (mostly by the P2 and P3 girls) teams are competing on Wed morning - 830~1130 for the Level 2, 1130~1300 for the Level 1. In between will include other levels from other schs as well.

Note - it is Wed at Woodlands Sports Hall, not Tues hor .. Look forward to see more PH　ｐａｒｅｎｔｓ　ｆｏｒ　ｓｕｐｐｏｒｔ　ｔｈｅｎ！

Ya, I want to bring my dd to watch the P5 & P6 jie-jie on Fri morning too, but it seems like I can't due to last min meeting .. sign.. nevermind, 我们精神上支持你！

If that's not a crime, I'll consider doing it!! :x She anti my dd lah, always pick on her, I think personality clash.... Dd very affected and totally gave up on her lessons, including handwriting also gone from very neat to illegible. Dd had this impression that if she did badly, then it's a punishment to the T! Aiyo!!.. :stupid: .... Told dd to separate feelings for T from actual school work. 读书是为了自己， 不是为了老师。

I agrees with E3 suggestion. Do a correlation study first. If there's a link, then easier to investigate further. My ds once didn't want to go back to his childcare center during kinddy holiday as someone there commented on his tummy/bum during bathe time. :lol:

Thanks everyone.. so far I can't spot any 'trends' on the dates he chooses to 'skip' school.. I spoke to him as well as with his student care teachers.. He said he really dislikes studying, and copying etc.. I guess in part, he is also not able to catch up in class esp during Chinese classes... so he is probably stressed out. Will have to think of how to help him cope and hopefully things will get better..

Hi JoeeYee,

My son's FT is somewhat similar to HOD Science. After the few occasions talking to her and also that PTM (parent-teacher meeting), I wish I could strangle her :x Both she and HOD Science share one similarity - not keen to have students who are pro-active. I am praying very hard she won't be the form teacher again next year.
