This qn is analogous to asking, 'Is toyota a good car to buy?' You say leh? Hehe.

There's a difference between european pianos being made in china; and china brands with european-like names.

In general it is always advisable to get the piano teacher to tag along with you when trying out the pianos. It is also always good to invest in a good exam model piano rather than buying a cheap one to "try out" first. I am a piano teacher and I always recommend my students to get a minimum of Yamaha U1 or Kawai K2 or better if budget allows. Grand piano is not compulsory for grade 8 or diploma learning but certainly a worthwhile investments.
