I too managed to avoid it until in my mid 20s many years back. That too only because DH (then boyfriend) got it first and I refused to NOT take care of him

Don't think its passe, if it is, why would they have come up with the vaccination.

                Hi Angelight,

The vaccination is optional and I still think it is good to do it since the PD said it was supposed to control the pox outbreak to a certain extend. But you should discuss with your PD / hubby and then decide what to do for your girl...
                😄

My son is at home on two weeks MC for chicken pox. It is now day 5 since he got a tiny spot on his chest and forehead… it is still only a handful of them. And the pox are tiny like pimple.

Is he really having chicken pox? He is his normal self and no fever too since the day before diagnosis.

Initially dr said it was not chicken pox after looking at the pox till he saw one fill with water…

Any one can share some info?

my DD & DS both gt chix pox one after another. same case as urs, small tiny like-pimple spots; non itchy. usually people say if 1st time very little spots, may hv a 2nd time when they grow older...dunno hw true lah... :? :

but when DH kenna the pox immediately after the kids, his was damn itchy, huge & all over his body (narrated by himself)

so i guess its different for all... hang in there, kids can overcome them very easily de... esp since there's no fever & he doesnt feel itchy or irritated.

                    ** i'm feelin itchy all over as i'm typing this ** 😛

i didnt bring the kids for any vaccination against chix pox. the older folks believe in getting them to come into contact with chix pox. it helps build up their immune system.

and i think the vaccination is also not 100% against. 😄
