PH as in Pei Hwa Presbyterian Primary?

Sorry to inform you that it is not affiliated to Pei Hwa Secondary.

I am not within 1km of Pei Hwa but am 1-2km. I didnt PV and I didnt consider that school as I think it is a \"tough\" school academically. I dont want kids as well as myself to be stressed la 😄

Balloting required even staying within 1km of Pei Hwa under Phase 2C.
My son is in PH, but daughter in CHIJ Toa Payoh...bcos her character is not suitable for the 'strive for excellence' culture in Pei Hwa...and like what you mentioned, don't want to get stressed out even more with both kids there.

I have heard from my colleague that PH has balloting even within 1km. Hence, if no other "advantageous" ways, don’t try lor…quite slim chances. I can’t imagine trying and then not getting a place in PH. Then have to look for a school all over again. Quite stressful!

Some kids need pushing before they can excel. Some kids don't need. Some after much pushing still the same.:(

My son is one that needs a lot of pushing (though may not excel). Can't imagine if the teachers don't teach and leave everything to parents thinking that 3/4 class attend enrichment. I will die cos no time and no $$ to attend so many enrichments. If he can get into PH, at least it's only revision that I need to do. Not teach + revision.

Just to highlight to some parents. My neighbour's grandson in PH P1 is not doing well for his English. Thus, is required to stay back with teacher everyday during recess time. To me, at least it shows that the teacher (or the school) cares right from the beginning.

Oh.. . also heard that PH not as stressful as Rulang from a fren today. Unsure how true.

                    Janet,

Told my son if he has done his best (already "strive for excellence" in our context and he doesn’t do well, I am ok. But if I see all silly mistakes, he will get it from me. Hahaha. . . .

                      Hi Scary,
My daughter has remedial lessons for Chinese, Eng and math...teacher is very kind and understanding...thank goodness for her teacher  If she had been in PH, wonder if she would have such patient teachers.
