Finally I found someone who actually took the plunge ! I think Creative only lanched this last month ? I've checked the website and I thought the colourful interface and games are maybe more for younger children but I guess I am wrong. I wanted to see a demo but haven't gotten around to it.

I've already ordered 1 set of PlayChinese for my DS but not sure whether it's still suitable for him as he's ardy in Sec 1. Of course, Creative said Sec sch still can use... but I wonder at the effectiveness and his time constraints.

I ordered 1st since I bought it at a gd price (in fact staff px as have contacts in Creative). If I don't keep it, will sell to my SIL who has advanced book with me, if I change my mind...super kiasu, right!?

Couldn't help but wonder whether you have heard of this song by Teresa Teng -
dan yuan ren chang jiu? Just got re-aquainted with the song and find the lyrics (which is a poem by Su Bin (?) ) so nice and poetic ( sure poetic since it's a poem what!)

Feel that esp. suitable for girls' sentiments... I personally feel more \"cultured\" instantly when I sang along with Teresa Teng...haha...

Teresa Teng also had another song Ji Duo Chou which was also good and helps the children to remember the poem effortlessly. :celebrate:

Still possible to buy...in fact, I just bought 2 recently and listened to this song...that's why I shared. I bought it at one HDB shop in Pasir Ris, q.sure other estates would have them too. Price ? V.cheap - 3 for $10. Have listened & songs definitely sung by her... not sure so cheap cos clearing old stk or some \"other\" reasons. Comes with lyrics too.

Ya, I don't think my son can appreciate too - too \"niang for him...haha...

One of my fav during my sch days. Also like 但願人長久/ 水調歌頭. Learn all my chinese poems thru' these songs, and can still remember after all these years
