      best is to have both,

one in mid-yr and 1 after PSLE results. (for those who could meet the COP, as not to waste time) šŸ˜„
Then the trs and students will have to prepare for 2 rounds. A lot of time & effort needed for preparation. May not be feasible.
Any sch has 2 open house a yr?

I think it's a drain on the students to have two Open Houses. Anyway, they're targetting different students for May and Nov.

i remember someone mentioned a sch or 2 do have 2 rounds,
juz that the yr end one prob is a \"more simplified event\", maybe juz a sch tour, w/o principal's speech....i guess so.

that's what i am trying to say,
if there is another nov open hse, it's good ....as it targets for students who meet the COP requirements.

ya, i know that, that's shd be the ideal rountine, i.e reading newspaper daily.
                    but in reality, ........
when almost everyday, there'll be bound to have either assignments,
projects (group and individual), topical tests, chengyu xingxue, or competitions, besides HW
so priority will be those with deadline to meet. šŸ˜‰

now, gal finally realised why her seniors told he that Sec 1 is honeymoon period.
sec 2 HW is almost twice of Sec1.

I fully agree with you. Even in Y1, there is already so much work and they also spend so much time and $ on project. I guess they'll just get busier each year. I dun think Y1 is honeymoon, but maybe in Y2, then Y1 becomes honeymoon period. šŸ˜„

sall, i was juz like u last year......kekeke
                    when i heard \"Honeymoon period\" i was kinda of :whut: liddat u call \"Honeymoon\"

now this yr, i begin to realise.......yes, still consider \"Honeymoon period for sec1\" šŸ˜‰ šŸ˜›

she is getting frust with her HW tight deadline schedule .... šŸ˜‰[/quote]Augmum, I know what you mean.... šŸ˜‰
DD is \"chionging\" her homework everyday. Last sat, she started from 1pm and by 1.30am, she's still doing... sigh.
When Daisyt told me her dd very busy this year, I can imagine.

RV has gotten 3 Gold with Honours for Dance SYF central judging this year, making them the first school in history to achieve that.

                      :congrats:

Hi justsay, dd has been busy since year 1. Practically, Sunday the whole day is homework day.

Hi sall, i cannot remember what E&C means but during that week is practically leadership camp or overseas trip. I think yr 1 & 2 also have some kind of leadership programs. Last time yr 3 went for outward bound camp.

                        Congrats to dance!!!

Dd always tell me, after all the CCAs finish their competition, its their turn.
