Hihi Maid, can share share the chilli crab recipe? With your step by step pics, I am so tempted to try at least once to make this dish.

Hihi Augmum, for Fish and Chips batter, I mix equal portion of plain flour with tempura flour right?

eatnonstop, i mix more of the plain flour than the tempura flour, maybe in the ratio of 2:1.

Had a gathering for all the mothers in my family on Mother's Day, also to have a small celebration for my 2 kiddos' impending birthdays. Decided to go Indian and cooked up the following.

                    Indian Curry Fish

                    Spiced Basmati Rice
                    http://i1131.photobucket.com/albums/m560/cylsfun/02c0d499.jpg\">
                    Masala Crab

There's also fried hairy gourd and roasted spring chicken for those not into spicy food. And of course lots and lots of papadum.

Funz, what a spread! Looks awesomely delicious!

I have this habit of using aluminium foils for my food when I have guests too... and... also the same tablecloth. Love it when all the food is displayed in a straight row. I've a long table which I will bring out when I have guests. Gives me the feel of catered food. šŸ˜‰ šŸ˜‰

Haha, yah cooked up a storm. Been quite some time since I cooked on such a scale. Was feeding a total of 15 adults and 6 kids. Had to cater to the old and the young. So on the side, I also had macaroni for the kids. And for desert, since the weather was sooo hot, green bean soup for the old folks to ease the external and internal heat after all the spicy food and ice cocktail jelly for the younger set. The preparation for this feast started the day before.

The tablecloth I used are the disposable ones, not very earth friendly but super duper convenient. And yah, when I extended my dining table and lined up all the food, it does look like I did some catering.

And what do you know, after all the slogging in the kitchen, all I wanted to do was drink. So I just sat there and sipped my ice cold drink while my guests tucked in. Haha. Good way to not put on weight.
