Wow, that was amazing. I'll be attending the preview this saturday. Hopefully this can help to solve my girl's attention deficit problem. Although she is just 4, I realise that her attention and focus problem is hindering her ability to learn and pick up new knowledge. All her teachers, including those at her childcare, are complaining to me about her poor concentration problem. No matter how much effort i put in for her reading and piano, she can't seem to improve and move on as she simply cannot sit still and focus on every task.
I'm tempted to join SBDC at first but was hesitant now because of all the negative feedback on the forum.
Hey
Did you attend the talk? How was it? -

Hi, where did you eventuallu send your child? SBD or Brainfit?hi,
Any mummies have any more feedback or update of results from Brainfit or SBDC? I'm considering to enrol my child in either 1. -
Anyone got updates with this brain development thingee?
Sounds interesting. Read quite a bit on this neuroscience advancements in the US and it seems like they are pretty cutting edge with the science…
Like to send my daughter now aged 5 going to 6 to one of these programs. -
Is BrainFit School same as BrainFit Studio mentioned here? got a mailer they are opening a new branch in the East
-
Hi
What I understand from Brainfit Studio is that they are opening an English Language School incorporating brain training at Marine Parade. There’s 2-3 more similar centers opening in the next few months I think.
Sounds interesting as they have developed an English Language curriculum based on MOE syllabus and also incorporating brain training component. -
BTW, this morning I attended a coffee morning talk at BrainFit Studio on brain training for seniors. Went with my mom!
They are introducing a 15 weeks program starting in July for seniors. -

Hi GabyEn,
Hi
Am not sure of their other programs @ BF (Brainfit), as my son is currently doing the SMART Listening, which is computer based. I believe most the programs are computer based. As a child progresses, he will move up different levels. As I understand, different computer programs will target different parts of the brain.
Cheers
What kinds of computer-based activities did your son do, care to share? Are they like Interactive Metronome ( http://www.interactivemetronome.com/IMPublic/Home.aspx ), Sound Therapy or Lumosity ( http://www.lumosity.com )? -
Hi GabyEn,
I sent my boy for assessment, and very tempted to sign up. However, my boy has a disorder and not too sure if the program will help.
How soon did you see a result in your boy? If I interpret correctly, it seems very short for your case, like you signed your boy up in Sep '10 and he showed great improvement in SA2 result. Was that a very intensive program he went through? Thanks for sharing. -
Hi Rayjay
Yup! Pretty intensive - 3X per week for 20 sessions.
BTW, there is going to be a talk by this speaker Dr Martha Burns on Brain Fitness & Learning In Special Needs kids. Its held at one of the Special Needs school If you are interested, do PM me.
Cheers
