      Hi Brenda,

I am keen to let my girl read 马小跳 books too. Did you let her read according to the sequence ? I wonder if it is necessary to follow the sequence.

      Hi Tamarind

DD did not read in sequence. In fact she started with 宠物集中营 which is #10 book.

      OK thanks 😄

I think dangdang really did not handle this well. If it is amazon.com or bookdepository.com, they would have refunded immediately.

It's a pity because dangdang is the cheapest source to buy Chinese story books, and no other bookshops in Singapore can compare with them in terms of variety and quality.

I advise other parents to file a dispute with the credit card company if we don't receive the books after 7 weeks, since we have up to 60 days to dispute the transaction.

        Hello Tamarind,

In this case cannot right? Coz the time taken for the books to arrive is more than 7 weeks.

          Hi laughingcat,
We have no choice because the bank allows us to file the dispute within 60 days. This is to protect ourselves, once we file the dispute, the bank should credit the money to us, and the merchant must provide proof that we have received the goods. This proof must have our signature on it. If we eventually receive the books, we can always call the bank to settle it.

Actually I have ordered many times, and the books always arrived in less than 8 weeks until recently when one parcel arrived about 9 to 10 weeks later.

I do believe that dangdang is reliable since it is the largest bookshop in China. However, the shipping company that they use can be unreliable, and its too bad that they don't change to another company.

I did ask Citibank once whether a transaction can be cancelled. I asked immediately after purchasing online. Their answer is no.

I don't mean cancel the transaction. I mean file a dispute for the transaction. Every credit card issuing bank should allow this. I have done it with Amex before.

I called Amex before, told them that I ordered something online, but I never received the goods. The officer told me that that I can dispute the transaction by sending in a form.

This is the risk expected of every online purchase. Purchasing things online can save us a lot of money, but it can also give a lot of headache when things go wrong.

                    chrismei, tamarind,

I ordered at dangdang.com and goods sent from beijing on 8 March. Then I checked my status today and it indicated on dangdang.com that on 7 May, the goods are delivered and received. But I had not received anything. I only have the article number.

Do you know what I can do about it? I sent dangdang.com an email for explanation already 😞 Anyway to check and retrieve the goods in Singapore?

                      poohy,

You can copy the parcel number from your order, then go to
                      http://www.singpost.com/

Click Track and Trace Registered Article and paste the parcel number, then click Track.

If it does not show any information, that means the article did not arrive in Singapore. You can try to demand for a refund from dangdang, but unfortunately they will take a very long time to investigate.

Looks like dangdang direct shipping is very unreliable now
