      Hi Rrmummy,

KS la…hope to stand a better chance in P2B…getting very nervous now. Is it still in time? What is the acceptable time frame prior registration?

I asked because the address that you have on your ic (and thus used for registration) should be reflecting the home you are staying. Not sure if you have read the many posts and links about the implications of using a 'false' address for registration..

New address updated on IC but not the actual place the child is living is considered a false address.

Many years back a lawyer got into trouble for this. And the poor child may be transferred out..

Please read the 4th post in this link for the reply from MOE:

I understand the amount of stress you are going through. But it is really not worth doing anything illegal just to gain a place for your child.

Good luck in your P1 registration. :xedfingers:

I remember a case where a primary school girl was transferred out of her school just weeks before her mid-year exam. Imagine the disruption to the poor child.

                  Hi yap_susan

My understanding is u will get 2 slips in any phases when balloting is needed. So as to say, if 2 parents (1 Singaporean, 1 PR) need to ballot, there will 3 slips in the box, 2 slips for u, and 1 slip for the PR.

                  Thanks.
                  gsk
                  Hi,
What if I register for one school but didn't get in, then when I register for another school, still two balloting slips?

hi, any parents know is it too late for me to change address nearer to my prefered school? any idea what is the qualifying period of this address for P1 registration?

                    many thanks

no. on the day of registration, the address on your NRIC would be used.

and if subsequently found not staying at the registered address will (1) kena transfer out from school, press report etc ; (2) kena charge for false declaration
