No worries ๐Ÿ˜‰ I have already used mine yesterday.

Wow! You so far used up already. We are still going through and see type of items to buy. BTW, also noted some of the assessment book are given 20% - 25% discount which are not required to use the coupon.

Used up already...hand itchy and can't resist going to Popular.
There are some PSLE assessment books by Learners Publication which are on discount and no need voucher...Grammar, Comprehension and Composition. They cost $4.90 each.
      'English Test Papers' P1-6 http://i51.tinypic.com/w9ve44.jpg\"> costs $5.

Tuesday is holiday so can take a good rest after the last Paper.

BTW, wish your ds good luck tomorrow.

Thanks, Brenda. DS already in holiday mood this weekend, and hard to drag him back to revising for this paper, esp. since it is HMT (not his fav). Ya, expect the teachers to start telling marks after the paper end, so I will have some \"numbers\" tomorrow to \"chew\" (hopefully taste sweet!)

All the best to your DD as well in the coming week with all the SA results revealed!

                    Hi Pen88n

Thank you for your good wishes too.

Think not matter how is the result we still have to make good use of this holiday.

                      cimman:

Sometimes I think the schools have this oneupmanship behaviour. They want to raise the bar above PSLE.

In the West, when they want children to improve, they encourage them. Over here, we put them in a negative light to spur them on....\"see, your grades are so bad, you really must buck up\", looks like the schools have this attitude. Something must be really wrong in our way of thinking.

Yes... it is counterproductive. Negative energy is not motivating. I have to work very hard to temper the effects of negative energy from the school.

                      Firstly, cimman, appreciate your comments.

Secondly, Chenonceau, that's my no. 1 issue too.

Spent the weekend telling DD that she's progressing well and explaining to her why the exams were so tough etc. All the things shared here, I shared with her.

I asked about how here friends were coping and she shared that there were quite a few who failed. I hope their parents see the bigger picture too.

Janet and the other fans of popular,

I went to two Populars yesterday - Parkway and BBC.
Bought an ACES (which is usually impressive) comprehension skills booklet (the test paper kind that looks like the science test papers) and was very disappointed. Compre passages very amateurish, with spelling errors.
