I seem to be the only one here receiving DD’s SA1 results… science in… now left maths and MT only.

ASLMUM, welcome to this thread and congrats on your dd’s excellent result.

I haven’t seen the papers yet but marks for EL paper 2, EL listening, CL paper 2 all out.

Brenda - it is quite good your dd’s school gives the oral score. Past years, ds’s school only release the total mark but not the breakdown of oral, paper1, paper2. I hope this year they will let us know.

                Hi Pixiedust

DD teachers (same with P5 last year) will automatic share with the class that their listening test, compo. and also oral test marks.

This is very important as we can have a better picture to focus on area that is weak.

Like last year, we focus a lot on CL compo. after knowing the marks was unfavorable.

So far dd oral test, CL 42/50 and EL 26/30 and this help us to know that we can still improve by 5- 10% before the Prelim and PSLE Exam.

Thanks guys. I've been silently reading the posts and really felt the need to join this big family 🙂

Now will have to wait for Wed for the English and Chinese results.

It's quite a relief to know at least she's getting 80s in SA1, hopefully as the topics get tougher and tougher, she still can achieve!

For my DD's school, they will give the breakdown for each section.

It’s good to speak to the FT. Felt so much better after I did - she was suprised that I thought DD did not do well. The numbers are misleading this year.

Does anyone know of any ways to improve English and Chinese? The languages are quite difficult to teach, not like you study will be able to do well. My DD reads a lot, but also do not seems to help with the vocab?

Appreciate if anyone can share how their kids cope with languages and if there are any good enrichment centre to recommend?

                        Thanks!
