Wow, wat a spread, Funz!! I’ll love to try the crabs… looks soo good!!

BTW, can I ask all the ‘gao shou’ chefs here, if it’s possible to buy non spicy curry powder? the kind where u have to add your own chilli powder? would like to use it to season food and introduce the taste to the kids, but not sure where to find? TIAs!!

        Thanks Augmum and Mrs Bongz.

A lot of the stuff were prepared the day before, even the fish curry, the gravy with the veg was cooked the night before and the fish added only the next morning.

Mrs Bongz, you can get the curry powder from NTUC, they do sell. I bought a pack not too long ago when I ran out of the one my mum made. Not too bad. I like to use it to season fish and chicken wings. You can introduce Jap curry to your kids first, these are usually very mild and kids tend to like them.

My mum's advice is food having coconut milk better not keep overnight to eat. You can cook curry with fresh milk too (unsweetened) though it will be be as fragrant.

oh yes, when i need to prepare a big feast for my guests,
those food or gravy can be cooked overnite, i def do part of the cooking first,
not possible (at least for me) to prepare everything on the same day.

even with that, still a lot of work to be done.....
so most of the time, i tell hub to avoid inviting guests if possible....kekeke
