I like your energy management concept. Not matter how busy is the next few months I think is good for dd to swim at least once a week since all the CCA and PE lesson in school are likely to cease and replace with lesson.
Hehe, I will also get my ds to do more exercise this holiday. Boys must exercise more to grow tall. He seems to be slower in his growth this first half. πŸ˜‰

I find swimming is one of the best exercise that can pump in a large amount of oxygen to the body and help them to learn and abosrb better.

        Just my 2 cents thougth

Need to read more as languages very weak...esp Straits Times and Readers Digest.

As Chenonceau mentioned, we also need to let our children have sufficient rest and some fun during this holiday. Poor kids have been busy for the last few months so their bodies also need a good dosage of rest and fun to charge up for a hectic term 3 and 4. Haiz, it's tough to balance so many requirements. Hopefully, we can all have a fruitful and restful break.

          Jia you jia you!

It's really tough to be a child now. Met my P1 daughter's teacher during Parent-Teacher meeting yesterday. She told me my gal is weak...needs to work hard for the rest of the year. Also needs to brush up her reading and improve on Math. I know this June won't be fun but we definitely need to recharge our batteries BADLY.
          加油 everyone !!!

              Seriously at P1?

Already I feel so sad that my P5 needs to work on her weaknesses.
Heartache these few days. Took 2 weeks break coz of exams and she has forgotten all she learnt regarding compo.
Thank God at P5, all the "bands" not mentioned and if dun look at numbers, report book still look respectable…

                Hi Brenda,
Sorry to interrupt πŸ˜‰ - can remember the title of the book? I am a bit :nailbite: :scared: now after reading so many comments about P1 Maths and the term \"Heuristics\" πŸ˜“ . DD2 will be P1 next year and is slower in learning compares with DD1 so I just hope to learn a bit more first before teaching her maybe last quarter of this year

Yes. I am also very surprise as we don't have to do all these few years ago until P4.

                      Hi Brenda,
                      Thanks for the info.
Went through daughter's Maths review paper...she needs to improve in 'Subtraction up to 20'. For eg in MCQ section, she was supposed to choose one of the options which gives the answer to the question 20-5.
For the 4 options, students are supposed to work out and write answer beside. My dear friend here worked out the answers mentally...naturally she would get the answer wrong. Teacher told me the girls didn't want to 'dirty' the question paper by writing anything on it.
                      Rather long-winded...sorry
