Pearl River is from China, has been around for a long time. It is a rather decent piano but it doesn't last for long (as in more than 10 years) as the sound gets rather \"jang-jang\" and won't sound like what it started off as. My personal view

I dislike the sound. Do not worry about the piano lasting because nothing can last more than 10 years in this climate. Unless it sits in an air-conditioned room, with all windows closed, permanently.

Thank you for sharing. :?: :?:

I bought a x-hand yamah U3. It was probably 30+ years, sounds great (mellow, not sharp) and we love it. It was pure joy listening to my children play on it.

Seem like that are a few parents in here either get the U3 (Brand New) or HL125 (Brand New). I also had been Ioing around those 2nd hand piano shop & HL 125 see see look look.

In general, when you heard 2nd hand piano & then after that hear the new piano, they are completely different.

My experience is a bit different. My Yamaha (which my parents bought 20+ years ago when I was a student) is still going very strong. It doesn't live in an air-con room and the windows are always open. We tune it regularly and make sure the heater is always on.

Good pianos will last more than 10 if well maintained.

Hi is the yamaha Clavinova Series of piano, eg CLP 430 or 470 an exam grade model? Which grade can it be used until? It is much cheaper than U1. Wonder why no one has ever talked about this model. Thanks!
