Can you elaborate? What does white hair has to do with Water? Diet maybe, but then again, what diet helps to reduce white hair or at least slow down the growth of white hair?

I have been using henna once in a way for more thena 15 years - long before i had any greys. Henna is an excellent conditioner and so called \"cooling\" to the body.

Now with the onslaught of greys , I have started using more frequently for the past 3 years once every 3 weeks. And I home make it - following my grandma's recipe. Ya, its time consuming. But the hair makes it worth it....

Natural henna colors the scalp too. Be very careful with it. Must wear gloves and not to let it get on the skin. Well, the stain will stay for only a few days. Use a dark color towel for the hair as the color will come out during the first few wash after treatment.


Other than natural henna, there’re those henna powder in sachets. The brands are Yahoo and Eagle, available in any indian shops around wet markets. I don’t know what’s the exact ingredients but this one doesn’t color the skin. Therefore, the scalp won’t turn yellow/orangish after treatment. The glossy effect is not as good as natural henna though.

How the henna colour will come out on your hair, depends on how your hair \"takes\" to it. The only salon I know is the one run by this lady who also does home service. She essentially does both home & salon henna service all by herself. So she operates by apptm only, i usually just text her for an apptm and she calls back to confirm details once she's available. Just did my hair yesterday. I think in the last 6 mths, I suddenly sprouted many more grey hair. Never before has my hairdresser mentioned anything about me having grey hair. Well I know that I do have some but all this while, it's that 3-4 strands. But yesterday, she actually said you need to go a bit darker for your hair colour instead of going with your normal tone. Else cannot effectively cover the grey hair. That got my attention, I asked her, a lot ah, she said more now, not that few strands anymore.



Went home and told DH. He consoled me, told me at least my hair has a chance to turn grey. His no chance at all. :roll:

I am also getting more white hair nowadays… Can anyone share on where to get henna products and how to use it, ie DIY. Do u need to do it like in salon when they colour your hair - section by section and layer by layer?
