Is really worrying for old folks...

But just wondering will nursing home care givers soon be asked to have higher qualifications to take care of old folks?
      what...make them take english test?

i showed my kids the video abt this, they were very shocked to see it.

so i ask them if they will be sending me to old folk's when i am old and to be treated like that πŸ˜“

          they shake their heads...

the old lady very poorthing, i felt more humilated than the physical pain

Not only to be sacked! I think the staff need to be treated in the same manner- left naked for 30min to be jeered & then throw off to the RUBBISH BIN!

            fully agree

May be. Like what they are doing for childcare.

it is not possible because most of these homes are running either on a very tight budget or in the red.

most patients are there for a long stay and many (even for the rich) simply pay for the first few months and disappeared. no visit, no phone calls to patients or hospital despite efforts from homes to contact them. many people view the homes as dumping ground. and these homes are unable to throw the patients out.

haha, i wonder too when i am the old lady in the house. the kids might say no but lets see what kind of pp they marry. and if you cant get along with your dil, chances of getting into a home is super high.

Really terrible!! I feel like slapping that girl back just so that she can have a taste of her medicine.

These people should be made to kneel down and apologise to the family members and the old granny. Most of these nurses I know are from Myanmar, Indonesia and Philipines.

Sigh! Pay them to get tortured!!!

The family members were also quite smart to hide the camera.

Are these foreign workers trained and scrutinised for their qualifications? For domestic help, I know most are not. For nursing jobs, if there is no compassion, it is impossible to do the work well.

I feel sorry for the old lady, it was indeed cruel to treat someone who had no ability to defend herself in this fashion....and she was paying for a service.... *sigh*

The scary thing to me is that I always assumed that as in a childcare, a nursing home has multiple caregivers, thereby they will sort-of act as a check over each other’s behaviour. This theory just got thrown out the window.

Actually my friend told me that all these nursing homes are very sad places. After his 80+ old grandma was admitted, her health went straight down the drain, accumulating in a stroke.
