Think I am going to take the risk and go ballot at St Hilda's rather than Poi Ching. Still think it's a better choice for my kids' holistic development. If unsuccessful, I have to go try other schs in Phase 2C Supp. What to do? Life is about making choices and taking risks...*sigh*

It must have been difficult to have come to that conclusion.. :snuggles:

The other alternatively would be to register at Poi Ching first and then make up your mind about St Hilda's when you have seen the balloting risk.

Either way, it would still be best to decide on a Plan C so that you do not get too confused should the worst case scenario happens.

Wonder why not much ppl grumbling on the reduction of the intake , especially those PV in these hot schools, like Pei Hwa, RGS, Henry Park, West Grove, Rulang, Rosyth, Red Swastika etc......

No prob. I'm aiming Rulang, going thru phase 2B by GRL. Reducing 30 from tat school, meaning the phase 2B will be lesser by 15. Last yr, vacancy left only 46, if using the same stat, it will be around 31 left. Reduction of 1/3 of the nos, which is quite alot. And I'm residing within 1-2km. Hope there's miracle.

Frankly speaking, a bit immuned, maybe recently quite busy with my work, so tat’s why u see me "disappear"


After the GE boundaries issue, so happy with those that has put into the voluntary work not being wasted (even thou this may not guarantee a place). But now with this unexpected issue, again unfairness for those voluntary. Why can’t decide to announce it before the school decided how many PVs to get or at least voluntary ppl are prepared for the worst. Is a bit too sudden news, but looks like only ME urggghhhhh.

Where & when can i get the application form?

Come 18th or 19th July you need to proceed to the CHIJ school with all the relavant documents and fill up the form there.

Pls advise what you would do if there’s only the following choices:

@ Geylang Methodist Pri - Phase 2A2
@ Loyang Primary School - Phase 2A2
- met the new principal, seems to be quite dynamic.
@ Whitesand Primary Sch - Phase 2C (1-2km using Parent’s add)
@ Elias Park Primary Sch - Phase 2C (1-2km using own add)
- which I am a little puzzled as our hse is only one road away behind the sch.
@ Poi Ching School - Phase 2CS ?? (2-3km using own add)
- i know it’s wishful thinking but bcos my DS2 is v strong in his chinese (his std is comparable to an average sec1 student)…
