I used to enrol DD2 for abacus and took her out coz the timing wasn't suitable.
How is the 3G abacus, which centre is he with for abacus and phonics? -

:snuggles: hehehe no worries -

also a gd idea to let someone he trust to teach him, like his grandpajedamum:
mine isn't swim school but their first lesson was also in the main pool but they had float belts around them so they kept afloat at all times. there were 2 teachers during their 1st lesson so it was pretty ok. DD2 is still edgy to be on her own and keeps grabbing her teacher (having a feeling he is frustrated)
i was disappointed. my ds1 started his swimming from the same school yrs ago. he was lucky to have a very committed and careful/vigilant coach (i wrote compliments of that coach to his management every year; but he eventually left to focus on his own biz). probably wait until ds2 is in P1 to start again or outsource to his grandpa.
or daddy
cannot rely on the daddy to teach. he super no patience. kids super scare of him (me too!). the daddy only stepped into to teach ds1 (academic) when ds1 is in P1. before that (even until now), the daddy remains the authoritative figure in their lives (he seldom scold them. he just need to stare, and they/we will go jelly
). lolz.
