For those who are planning for the USA Disneyland/Disney World, the best time to go is the 2 weeks after their Thanksgiving Holiday, that is the lowest attendance week throughout the whole year. That's means less queueing in the theme parks.

For DIY planning, I recommend gettting a disney guide book from the library - there are lots of info there including day plan on how to maximise your trip and the rating of the various rides based on your kids age.

For good deals on Disney, you can check out http://www.mousesavers.com/

I planned a trip to California few years back with the above.

said to be 45min drive from orlando theme parks.

Sounds like a trip that can hit many agenda in one! How long is the traveling time from SG to Orlando? 30hrs? Which airline is the most economical?

I went there by SQ to New York and change to domestic flight to Orlando. I am not sure do they have direct flight from Sg.

you can fly to London on SQ or a variety of airlines

from London, take Virgin Atllantic. You won’t be disappointed. VS is even better than SQ in service, and VS fare to Orlando is cheap…especially now the sterling pound is only $2.

Been to Florida last year , end april. The weather was similar to SG. It was a business trip so didn’t get to visit Disneyland. My colleague got to go on trip out to the swamps to watch the alligators and she said it was an experience

Downtown Disney is simply awesome, (be prepared to being $$$ hahaha) coz the disney items are just irresistable 😛

If you love shopping, there are loads of warehouse outlets about 30 mins drive away

Depending on your flight connection, mine was around 26 hours. SQ is the most expensive. Cathay is pretty decent pricing so you can check it out. I went on United Airlines coz SQ was booked up (quite a popular flight, SG - LAX or SG - SF)

Thks 4 the tips! If DIY, we need to book the domestic flights on or own as well, or thru the airline that originates eg SIA, US?

I had a domestic flight from chicago to Florida and it was tied in with United Airlines. You can check with the airline if they are able to tie domestic flights for you, which would be easier.

Forgot to add, I stayed at Hilton (Downtown Disney) whicih is 7 mins walk away. If you are heading out of disneyland, strongly recommend to rent a car coz taxi is alarmingly expensive.
