        2 possibilities. Too much beating or vigorous stirring thus too many air bubbles in the batter. Or fire too strong when steaming.


        In any case, like I always say, for own consumption, taste more important. If it tastes good all is forgotten.

            OMG! I love cookies which melt in the mouth, especially the buttery ones. :drool: :love:

            Yes. full of butter smell...my son loves it..pop in almost 10 already, my gal doesnot...she still prefer her chocolate chips cookies instead...so may be making a batch tomorrow.

              how did you get the recipe? Did you google it? It looks really deli and I'm drooling now. Feel like baking it too. And oh ya, how did you manage to get the even colour? Not a single part is burnt at all. :celebrate:

                    I adapted recipe from HHB (happy Hone Baker, she has alot of wonderful bakes) the cookies donot required to be baked brown. Enjoy.

                      These cookies texture are much finer than sugees as it called for icing sugar instead of caster sugar used in sugees. German cookies are more delicate and break easily.

                        Oh I meant as in you've got skills as none got over brown and I love the evenness in the colour... cos when I bake, I tend to get some parts slightly burnt especially cookies nearer to the edge. Maybe becos of my oven? :scratchhead:
